Park the car at Södra Åsum's old church. When visiting the old stone arch bridge at the church about a week ago, we missed looking at the old watermill right next door. Time for a return visit. By the river next to the new bridge is a building that has been a watermill, unusually large for its time. The bridge is closed for cars. From the new bridge you can see the mill. It was built in the 1860s. Water comes from a gutter from Åsumsån. The last miller leased the mill 1930-1965 A sign tells a little about it. On the stairs stands a yard elf, does not really know how to interpret the figure otherwise. A gravel road passes up to a house. Go down to the river between the mill and the house, on the other side of the new bridge you see the old bridge. Can not get over the gutter here and the transition at the building looks fragile. Dare to go down to the gutter on the other side of the mill where the water falls a few meters and continues down to the river. It has been overcast and a bit chilly, but now the sun is looking ahead. Then it's time to drive home.
