Go from Skåneleden from the
"Mörkrets grave field".
Through fine spruce forest.
Coming out on a small forest road.
My old map no longer matches the Skåneleden trail here.
Taking left on the road, the trail nowadays continues on the other side,
but at the end of the road another part of the trail joins.
To the left towards the Nature Center
to the right it passes just by a chambered tomb.
You have to be attentive, there is no sign on the path about it.
The chambered tomb is located on a small crest among spruce
just west of the path. An information sign is next to it.
Chambered tombs were a common burial method during
the younger Stone Age around 2000 BC.
Edged boulders with roof blocks and then covered.
This coffin is severely damaged.
The coffin is open, the roof blocks are missing and it is not covered.
But still, 4000 years old gives a certain feeling.
It lies nicely in the spruce forest with moss all around.
On the other side of the path, down in a hollow, is a wetland with open water.
The sun is shining in the haze over the water.
Walk the Skåneleden trail to Fulltofta nature center.
Good pancakes with coffee in the cafe.
Takes the white track through deciduous forest to the parking lot at Hästhagen.
