Pictures from Skåne - Sweden - Norra Fälad trail
1 August 2009: Some time ago
there was a sign set up at Borgarparken about Norra
Fälad trail. I start at the cycle path that goes under Norra
Gräsnvägen, then turn right to the bend where the road change
name to Klosterängsvägen, , my view point. Here I followed
for one year, 1990-91, a rape field. This year wheat is grown. I have a
bag of Swedish cherries with me as food for
the journey. Throw a kernel and shout 'Good luck! 'and hope it grows.
During the continued hike I throw out the rest. Here you can go
up on the not yet completed hill Klosterängshöjden. I look
down and wave
to my marl mout (Märgelgrav). Hares jump away. Westbound I look
out over
Ladugårdsmarken. From the top you can see the ESS (European
Spallation Source) country towards Odarslöv. The trail continues
on the cycle path north of Ladugårdsmarken. I
go in among the houses and looking up the artwork 'Prehistoric', axes
and swords. My previous visit was when the site was recently built. To
the
north is the corn field, a lone dead tree stands out in the field. It
has been there since long. I pass the scouthouse, under
Svenshögsvägen to the Annehem area. The newly constructed
part is sterile blocks. The older parts are nicer with grown up gardens
and more
color. Over a lawn meanders a creek. I arrive at the meadows and the
dam near the railway. Thence to St. Hans hills which I visited a month
ago. Goes
back under Svenshögsvägen to Fäladstorget. I sit down
with Tusse and view
the world. Moving on to Borgarparken, where I cool my feet in the
wading pool. Throw the last cherry kernel at a clump of bushes and
shout 'Good luck'. Perhaps there are in a number of years, when I'm
gone , a
few cherry trees in memory of my walk. |
