We have lunch at the bathing hotel in Barsebäcksstrand.
Just west of Dösjebro in Ålstorp is a runestone, north of the highway,
which we have driven past many times
without stopping for a visit. So we drive home via Saxtorp and then towards Dösjebro.
The runestone stands in a field opposite Furuhillsvägen.
Turn onto Furuhillsvägen and park on a grassy area east of the road.
Entering the field via a stile where there is a sign with information about the site.
There used to be a church on the site, it was demolished before 1589.
Investigations have found the foundation of the church and a cemetery.
The rune stone has been known since the 18th century, when it already stood in its current location.
Next to the pasture is a villa to the west and a sheet metal shop to the east.
The text on the stone is:
Hals and Fribjörn erected these stones after their comrade Hove.
"Stones" in the plural can mean that there were several stones
that were erected.
