Last visit was winter, now it's a nice summer day. This time we drove, parked in the church parking lot and walked through the cemetery to the church. We're actually here to see the runestone in front of the church tower. Feel the door, the church is open. The church was built in the 12th and 13th centuries on Malmö's highest point, about 37 meters above sea level. Today's church doesn't have much left of the original church. The church got its current appearance during a renovation in 1896. Half the nave and part of the tower remain. The baptismal font made of sandstone was made in the 12th century. In a window is a chalk stone figure with a jester's cloak. Probably from the 15th century, signposted. At the baptismal font stands a Madonna with the baby Jesus created by Eva Spånberg (the most important woman in the Swedish church during the 20th century). In the choir is a stained glass window with a blessing Jesus from 1896. The pulpit is from the same year.
