Picking up my friend at the bus stop in Smedstorp.
Drive on towards Simrishamn. After just under a kilometre,
there is a small road to the north.
Turn in there and park in a parking space.
This is where the trail Gårdlösaleden goes.
Follow the trail north. Soon, at a tree, are signs out on a dirt road:
Skeppssättningar, Silverflickan, Domarring, 400 m.
The Silver Girl's grave is out in the farmland
and you need permission from the landowner, we don't have that.
The grave is said to be slightly visible.
The bones of a young woman and her grave goods were found in the grave.
The grave goods can be found at the historical museum in Stockholm.
The museum in Simrishamn seems to be more natural.
We have to content ourselves with visiting the docks and the stone circle.
Follows a trail over grassland, until an angle passage.
After an angle passage is a dirt road up to the height with the burial ground.
To the south are pastures, rape fields and cherry blossoms.
The burial ground is fenced, an angle passage leads inside.
The burial ground consists of two naves,
one of which has a central stone and a stone circle surrounded by trees.
All around is arable land, except in the south where there is a
forest grove. Benches and table are available for those who want to sit
down for a while. We stroll around and after a while go back.
Cows have settled down in the pasture. We continue the trail north.
From the path you can see the hill with the burial ground.
The trail continues past quarries to Listarrumåsen.
