After visiting Färlöv Church, we drive to the parking lot at a retirement home
a few hundred meters from the church.
Walk from the parking lot to the main road where there is a runestone.
It was discovered in 1997 during the construction of an avenue.
There is also a burial ground at the site, where only a few stones are visible.
The runestone is considered to be Skåne's oldest runestone, it has been
dated to the 8th or 9th century.
The stone is badly damaged so the text has not been able to be interpreted.
Individual characters can be deciphered,
but the meaning of the runic inscription has not been understood.
It was erected near the place of discovery,
probably also near the original
site. Archaeological investigations of the burial ground
and Carl von Linné's notes during a visit show
that the burial ground was much more impressive than today's few stones.
Drive to Uddarps golf club and have lunch.
