There are a parking spaces available on the square in Åhus. The queue is long in front of the ice cream kiosk on the square. Our interest is in front of the museum in the northern part of the square. The Älleköpingesten is a runestone that was found in 1965 during excavations on the site where Elleköpinge Church stood. The stone had been used as the foundation stone of the church. It has been standing here outside the museum in Åhus since 2014. In between, it was stored for a while in a storage at the Regional Museum in Kristianstad. The runestone is probably from the beginning of the 11th century.

Billing and Skröte are no known names. Next to the museum is the church. But we're going to dinner so the church will have to wait.
