Having lunch in the Borgstugan at Trollenäs castle. Then a short visit to the beautiful Näs church by the castle. The excursion is to Remmarlöv's old cemetery. Parks at Remmarlöv's church. The cemetery is hidden behind the old school in Remmarlöv. The school is now private, but you have to get through the gate to the cemetery. At the gate to the school it says "Welcome to Remmarlöv's old cemetery.", so we go on. Nothing remains of the old medieval church. It was destroyed during the war in the 1670s, but rebuilt. When the new church was built, the old one was demolished in the 1890s. Aisles mark where the church stood. Elms were planted to mark the site of the church, but they had the elm disease and is gone. A number of burials from the 19th century remain. Among other things a natural stone over the village parliamentarian, Pehr Johnsson 1818-1901, with wife Karna and son John. The stone appears split in two. Many stones have been laid down, so they must have been unstable. Some are unreadable. When we look more closely at a set of stones in a corner we are accompanied by a dog. The owner also comes forward and talks with us. Surrounded by a low hedge lie a stone covered with moss. It is supposed to be the oldest grave, from 1828.
