A gray, overcast autumn day. We have been to Höörs gästis and eaten raggmunk, served every Thursday. On the other side of the river is the church. It is open. It was originally built in the 12th century with stones from the area, stones from the same place as Lund Cathedral. The master builder was Mårten Stenmästare. The biggest attraction is the baptismal font that Mårten has signed in runic script: "Martin mik giarde" i.e. "Mårten made me". Today the rows of benches are decorated with flowers.

The altar and pulpit are from the beginning of the 17th century. Above the entrance is a copy of Thorvaldsen's famous Christ image, the original is in Copenhagen Cathedral. The sculpture is a gift to the church in 1880. Some of the windows have fine 20th-century stained glass.

Outside the church there are some millstones. Millstones were carved, for example, in Stenskogen outside Höör. There are also older gravestones. On one I think one can read the year 1650, maybe wrong. On another with crossed knuckles. On a pillar over a jubilant doctor who died in 1861 and his two wives. One over a mother and daughter. An iron cross over Svensson.
