Drive the road from Hörby towards Löberöd.
At Högseröd's church there is a small, beautiful stone arch bridge over
the Bråån. Every time we have driven past I thought
I should make a return visit to the bridge.
It is now twenty years since the last time.
Drive in and park by the church. The bridge spans the river in two arches.
Don't know much about the bridge,
but it is beautiful where it is next to Högseröd's church.
In the National Antiquities Office's building register for Högseröd's church, you can read:
"Beyond the old stone bridge from the first decades of the 19th century northeast of the church is the Kvarndammen
and the mill building from 1914.
The former mill was destroyed in the big fire that broke out in
the rectory directly east of the church in the summer of 1889."
Upstream, the river is divided by a channel at a house,
which must have been the water mill. Further up is the mill dam.
Try the church door, but it is locked. We'll have to be happy with the nice bridge.
