a combined conference/concert/office building at
the Science Village at Brunnshög in Lund, with a large plant wall inside.
January 17, 2025
A gray, overcast winter day. At the Science Village at Brunnshög in Lund,
they have built a combined conference/concert/office building.
So I cycle there to take a look.
Luckily, there is a sort of semi-inauguration today so you just
have to walk in. You are greeted by a large open volume with
a large plant wall. You can walk around the different floors,
with the different large conference and meeting rooms.
There are also offices here.
I go into the large concert and conference hall.
I meet the former head of my department.
We stand and talk for a while about the building.
I personally think it looks boring from the outside.
From Gösse backe in the Knowledge Park it looks like a box.
We also discuss a possible move of some departments at the university
to the Science Village area.
I go and mingle over free coffee and cake.
Outside is Skåne's oldest windmill, completely renovated because
it was about to collapse.
The Lopp is conveniently located at the tram's terminus.
Cycling home in the fog.
