Then Lund got its tram. It goes from Clemenstorget to ESS on Brunnshög. It was inaugurated on December 13, 2020. Since in Corona times you should use public travel, we have not used it yet. Instead, we have, in stages, walked along the tramway. The last walk was at the inauguration on December 13. To get some pictures of trams, there were some extra walks to Max IV and ESS. Below are the reverse order, most recent first.

January 2, 2021: ESS
More trams. Some pictures from stop ESS. As at the Brunnshögstorg stop, there is a work of art here, "The Labyrinth". It consists of 72 white wooden poles that stand 6 meters above the ground.

December 13, 2020: Allhelgonakyrkan - Clemenstorget
We cycle to the university hospital. Put the bikes there and go to the church Allhelgonakyrkan. There comes the first tram we see, up via Sankt Laurentiigatan from Clemenstorget. Walks down the street towards the Clemenstorget. All the way, the tramway is paved with paving stones on this stretch. Past the intersection with Karl XI street, and you are on Clemenstorget. A tram is inside the terminus. To make room for the stop, a large number of plane trees have been moved, they have been replanted up on Brunnshög near Max IV. There are still many plane trees left in the square. Seats have been made and chairs cast in the ground, play pavilions and "lace cloth" roofs have been set up, are in a shape similar to lace tablecloths. The sculpture Eos, the goddess of dawn, has been given a new place. A Christmas tree do also fit. We're going back. At Allhelgonkyrkan, a tram turns further towards ESS.

August 3, 2020: Tornavägen - Allhelgonakyrkan
Bicycles to the parking garage Kompassen. Puts the bikes in the bike parking lot before the passage over the tramway. Walks on the grass along the tramway. Passes Lasarettsgatan and the Ovalen car park. Across Klinikgatan at BMC (BioMedicinsktCentrum). On the cycle path towards Tornavägen. The tramway passes under Tornavägen, where we turn and go back to the hospital. Passes new flower beds and past the stop "University Hospital". We follow the tramway on the east side. The tramway follows Getingevägen past the hospital and along Bredgatan to Allhelgonakyrkan. There we turn, go back along Norra Kyrkogården. Have an ice cream at "Sofiagrillen". Colorful, is not so appetizing.

June 22, 2020: Chemistry Center - Tornavägen
Nice summer day. Bicycles to the Chemistry Center. Follow Sölvegatan to Kårhuset. A tree has sprouted, almost like snow on the road. Apart from the tramway, it is only for pedestrians and cyclists on this part of Sölvegatan nowadays. Summer and empty of students. At Kårhuset, tram stop is LTH (Lund University - Faculty of engineering ). There is a nice flower bed. Then the tramway goes down under Tornavägen. Bikes up to Tornavägen and home.

June 14, 2020: The motorway - Chemistry Center
The cycle path goes from Willys supermarket along the motorway to where the tramway goes under the motorway on Ideongatan. Passes Schelevägen. I do not know what all the houses on Ideon contain. Ideon is a science village. There are lots of companies here, a Science park to "link research to innovations and entrepreneurs". Tram stop Ideontorget. Then it stops follow the road, gets its own tramway between bike lanes. Further ahead is IKDC, Ingvar Kamprad Design Center, design of technology for people. Has a small nice protruding architecture. Continues past Kemicentrum (Department of Chemistry). Here we leave and go home, past the (Hemvärnsgården) Home Guard yard next to the riding hall. It was burned down a while ago, only foundation and debris remain.

May 3, 2020: ESS - Tram depot
The tram depot, which is adjacent to the ESS, has been completed. There are no trams yet. Bicycles to the old renovated windmill at the ESS stop. From here, a track runs along the road towards Östra Odarslöv. It crosses the entrance, Partikelgatan, to ESS. Maximum speed is 40. When walking, you come to a locked gate. You do not get closer to the tram depot. You can look at the building through a fence. Has the green color for local traffic. Quite nice architecture.

April 23, 2020: The motorway - Brunnshög
The cycle path goes past Willys to where the tramway goes under the motorway on Ideongatan. Go down the stairs to the road, follow it and the tramway under the highway. Passing Ericsson's house, do not know how much they have left of their business in Lund. They have shut down a lot. The next stop is Telefonplan, one could have chosen a name that is not associated with a business. There may not be telephone companies here in the future. The exit north of the roundabout after Telefonplan is called Telefongatan. A really nice house has been built there, Motel L. A hotel on 14 floors with a gym and sky bar. Go straight ahead at the roundabout and then on the grass of the tramway along Brunnshögsgatan. Houses are being built here. At the end of the street is the stop Solbjer. At the roundabout at Solbjersgatan, the tramway goes straight ahead, we turn left. Walks past one that seems like an empty parking garage, never sees any cars in it. A large stock of Annual Honesty is growing in a mound of earth. Beautifully. Should be in the garden. Go there the next day to take a small piece of it. Then it's gone, someone has dug up the whole thing and taken it with them.

April 19, 2020: Brunnshög - ESS
Go to the roundabout where the tramway crosses Solbjersvägen. It is not completed. Walks on the grass north. Stop Brunnshögstorget is not completed either. In the east, a park, the Nobel Park, is being built. Along the tramway, on the west side, is a bike and walking path. The new district Brunnshög will be built here, but there is still nothing. The stop at the laboratory Max IV is finished. The road from Max IV has been decorated with red poles and white circles. The tramway passes fields. Passes the road to Odarslöv. Follow the tracks to the end stop ESS. When we went here a few weeks ago, a field was completely yellow with Coltsfoot. Here is Skåne's oldest windmill although it has been thoroughly renovated. It was completely decayed before the ESS. The courtyard next to it is closed as a visitor center. Closed in corona time. The track continue towards the tram depot that is being built. Walk home via the shock absorber hills at Max IV. At Max IV is an abandoned house, it is of course owned by someone. I do not know what it will be used for, it will probably stand and decay until one must tear it down. On the hills we find cowslip. Continues the gravel road under the motorway and up Klosterängshöjden. To our delight, the cowslip is in bloom.
