On a low hill by the university square, towards the Academic Association's (AF) house, in Lund, there are six rune stones. They all have their origins in another place in Skåne. The hill is a memorial to mark the university's 200th anniversary in 1868. Lundagårdsstenen, which now stands in the foyer of the university library, stood on the top of the hill until 1957. The story is said the hill to be the grave of a lot of rats. When the hill was made, rats had invaded Anatomicum's basement (the house north of the hill), and they put out poison. The bodies was buried in the hill. Not far from the hill is a memorial to the university's 350th anniversary, "Meteorite". A black stone with a golden lion (university seal). A squirrel appears with a nut in its mouth behind a runestone. Runs quickly up a tree. On a clear spring day in April 2021, I take a few more pictures of the hill.

Clockwise from Vallebergastenen which is facing east are the stones:

Vallebergastenen was found in Valleberga. The lower part was in 1845 as a fence post. In 1869, the upper part was found, they were joined together, the runestone was placed here on the runestone hill. The stone is decorated with a cross and a prayer.

Sven and Torgot made these stones after Manne and Svenne. God help their soul well; but they are (ie buried) in London.

Gårdstångastenen 2 was found in 1867 in the church wall at Gårdstånga church, taken directly to the runestone hill. The stone is damaged, which means that the text is incomplete. Runes are found on two sides of the stone.

Vallkärrastenen was found in 1687 in the Vallkärra area. The largest of the rocks by the hill.

Gårdstångastenen 3 was found in 1867 in the church wall at Gårdstånga church, taken directly to the runestone hill. The stone has unusually large runes, with a concluding unknown sign after the name Tobbe, which some interpret as Thor's hammer.

Norra Nöbbelövstenen stood in the cemetery wall in Norra Nöbbelöv, was moved to become a boundary stone, then it ended up in the rectory in Fjelie before it was placed on the runestone hill. The top is off on it so one think the last word is fila (ka), comrade.

Skivarpsstenen was found in the 19th century under the cemetery wall in Skivarp. It was blown up into three pieces that were used for stairs and the chimney. It was put back together and placed for the university's 200th anniversary celebration on the runestone hill. It has some misspellings.
