An acquaintance has never heard of the international unit of measurement known as *lagom* (lgm).
So, I walk down to the spot outside the Old Surgery building in Lund.
It is a somewhat chilly winter day. Not many people are about today.
The unit 'lgm' was established by the Uarda Academy on April 29, 1992,
and takes the form of a Vånga granite stone featuring a hollow.
The stone is situated next to Sandgatan on the Lund University campus,
by the Old Surgery building in the Paradis block.
The hollow is said to hold three snaps—15 cl—as that is considered *lagom* (just the right amount).
Vånga granite is a red granite found in the Vånga area of Skåne.
The site is watched over by the three "Park Guardians."
These are three tall wrought-iron sculptures created by artist Jörgen Martinsson
in the early 1980s.
The building (the Old Surgery) next to the stone formerly housed the hospital's
surgical department and was built in 1867; today, it is used by the university.
My acquaintance is pleased to receive the information and photos.
