Take the train to Helsingborg, where we buy a ticket from a machine for the ferry
over to Helsingör. In Helsingör you can buy a train ticket at the seven eleven
store. Unsure how many zones to Ordrup, same as to Klampenburg
where we change to a bus to Ordrupgaard. Art museum with collections of
Danish and French artworks from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Has temporary exhibitions. The exhibition that is currently running is
"Plantefeber. Verden i vindueskarmen",
how the once exotic and foreign plants in the 19th century
made their way into Danish homes. First we walk around among the artworks
in the park. Before the exhibition we have a shrimp sandwich and Svaneke beer
in the restaurant. We have to wait a long time for the food, it is crowded.
The theme of the exhibition is mainly paintings by Danish
artists with potted plants in the window frame. Also works with plants
in other room environments. We end with a visit to the Danish
collection with "Hammershøi and Danish art around 1900".
While waiting for the bus we have an espresso in the restaurant.
We choose to take the bus all the way to Helsingör.
