League premiere away against Ängelholm. The weather is good so I take the train to Ängelholm. In Helsingborg, an acquaintance joins. Goes to the sports field, around the football field are running tracks. There are hardly any toilets. A man tells me that a new arena is going to be built. Haven't had lunch, I'll have a sausage to start with. Not since 1974 has HIF been this high up. We stand in the small stand opposite the big one. The match is even and quite without chancces. HIF has some good tries. It's blowing a bit chilly. Just before halftime we decide to go to the big stand to get some shelter. When we pass Ängelholm's goal HIF comes through and shoots into the roof of the net! Premiere goal. Long queue for the sausage, skip the sausage. Second half Ängelholm presses. We stand at the top of the stands, a man opens a window and wants us to move. Obstructs the view from the commentator's booth. There's a note on the wall saying not to stand there. Apologies. Ängelholm presses. But HIF defends itself. Gets dangerous a few times. With some effort they win. Ängelholm is depressed. HIF and its supporters celebrate. Premiere win, not bad. Walks through the deserted city to the center and eats fish at Järnvägskrogen. Then train to Helsingborg, has a coffee at Zoega's coffee, nice place and good cappuccino. Back to Lund by train and cycles home from Clemenstorget.
